EDUCATION
The Loggers Association of Northern California Qualified Logging Professional Program has been designed to meet the training requirements of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification programs. Forest landowners who are certified under SFI and/or FSC require that all companies who work on their land be professionally trained. We provide training in all the required elements at no cost to members. We schedule the training classes, most of which take place at the 2 Logging Conferences. Additional training is scheduled as needed. |
"The SFI logger training program is so vital and critical...It's a true benefit to the private landowner to be able to say: 'Here is someone that I can bring on my property, that I trust, that I know is going to implement best management practices... It creates real value on the ground."
